Know the Risk: Understanding Family Cancer History, Genetic Services, and Breast Cancer Risk Assessment

This is a free, on-demand CME education activity. This training will prepare primary care clinicians to complete a family cancer history and breast cancer risk assessment for patients by age twenty-five.

Learning Objectives

  • Clinicians will be competent in completing a family cancer history and appropriately refer patients for genetic services.

  • Clinicians can complete a breast risk assessment and identify appropriate resources and services for their patients.

  • Clinicians can describe that breast cancer incidence is increasing in young adults and these cancers can occur without a family history of cancer or genetic mutation.
